Delicious! Was looking for a Pho restaurant and found this place and decided to try it because of its Yelp reviews. Cute quaint place. Service was great and food was out quickly. The beef Pho was so tasty the broth was one of the best I've had. My husband ordered the shrimp Tom Kha Kai and it was delicious too, nice coconut soup. Will definitely be back.

Fellow Yelpers, thank you for bringing me here! First experience and I shall return! Ordered the $10 lunch special at 2:59pm, it ended at 3pm, I'm good like that. Special includes soup, salad and your main dish. I went with the Avocado Salad, Tom Yum soup and the Panang Curry with chicken. Fresh ingredients all around. The salad had fresh and flavorful sliced avocado and just the right amount of ginger dressing. The curry was full of flavor. Spicy and a solid amount of vegetables! Curry & Coconut, yes & yes. The portion size was great, especially for $10. I actually made two solid meals out of the generous amount. Might I say the best Thai in West Chester area? I will update this again as I return to experience dine in but this food was on point.

okay food, alright service. probably won't go back

The pho is like home! Away from home. It definitely reminds me of home. I recommend and will continue to order from them.

the food was great. Love the pineapple fired rice.

Best thai food I have had in west Chester. From start to finish everything was great. We started with there homemade thai sausages and asked for some Panang curry to dip it in. I highly recommend it. We also got the thai fried fish and the drunken noodles to share as our entree. Out server suggested getting the fish in the tamarind sauce and it was great. Everything we got med to high heat and it definitely had a kick but in a good way. Don't forget it is BYOB :) oh and they finish your meal with these fried philo wrapped bananas. Great little extra and not to sweet.

Loved the pad Thai. I base how good a thai restaurant on the pad Thai. I ordered the pad Thai with chicken and I requested no peanuts and no sprouts (I know it's weird) the sauce was great! I love it when the Thai sauce is a little sweet. The noodles weren't under or over done and the egg was light and fluffy. Also got the calamari rings, the sauce that came with it was good too! The vegetable spring rolls were a little bland but the sauce they came with added a little more flavor. Got delivery, came super quick!

I love this Thai restaurant . Papaya salad is the food I always order it's so spicy and tasty like in Thailand. Also with Tomzap so delicious.

As our search continued for a great Thai place in the area we tried Baan Thai. Our first impression was the atmosphere was a little out dated and not the best. There is almost always no one in the restaurant. The nice thing is it is BYOB. The service is a little slow so make sure you do bring some wine or beer to enjoy before it comes out. The food does make up for the other aspects. I love their Thai basil and eggplant stir fry. My fiance always gets the Pad Thai which he enjoys. You get a good size portion and the food is not oily as you will find at other Thai places in the area. It's definitely a place we go back to on occasion but may be a better place to get take out from.

I was skeptical as soon as a I walked in during the height of a typical lunch rush for most restaurants to a completely empty dining room. That's right, I was the only one there at 12:30 on a Thursday. I ordered the Beef Pho. It was not Pho. I don't know what it was, but it tasted like no Pho I had ever had before. The server was timid but kind. The prices where on par for this type of restaurant. I won't be going back.

I had an AMAZING roast pork noodle soup here, wow. The different ingredients in the soup melded perfectly together, I could not get enough of it. Their fresh spring rolls were great too, and I was so happy to see they serve yummy Thai iced tea in big, tall glasses because I'm always sad when I finish my tea before I finish my meal. The service was great too and our food came out quickly.

Very good food and a nice, clean dining room. The only issue is the staff. The young waitresses are more concerned with checking their cells phones than providing service.

average Thai food here nothing spectacular. Had the green curry and seafood lover, calamari was a little off.

This was our first visit to Baan Thai. The food is very good. Be careful of the heat in the dishes - a two chili rating was quite hot. I had green curry and it was outstanding. They seem to be more of an Asian fusion restaurant, but I would like to see more authentic Thai dishes on the menu. Overall, a nice place and nice people. We will return.

I've only had lunch here thus far but we will definitely be returning as the food and service were fantastic. The lunch specials are plentiful, with a mix and match approach and plenty of dishes from the main menu to choose from. I had Pad Thai with shrimp (lots of shrimp here), Tom Yum Goon soup, and Thai Spring Rolls. Everything was delicious and Fon, the owner, was a delight to chat with. I hope more people become aware of this place because it deserves to be well visited. Give it a try. You won't be sorry! And, oh yeah, they have Wi-Fi, but you have to ask for it.

Baan Thai is a great new addition to West Chester restaurant scene. With a very friendly staff, authentic Thai food, and unbeatable prices (check out the lunch special three-course meal from 4:30 to 6:30 PM), Baan Thai hooked me on my first visit. I look forward to my next visit. Give Baan Thai a try. I believe it is the best Thai restaurant in West Chester.

The best Pad Thai in the area. A little pricey for the area and atmosphere, but the food is great and generous portion. A+!

Strongly scented candles in a restaurant are never a good idea, difficult to smell/taste the food and for some customers, they cause headaches and even migraines. I may consider ordering takeout in the future because the food was fairly good, but our dining experience in the restaurant was subpar. The service was poor as the server did not clear the table in a timely manner and seemed to lack experience waiting tables. The dessert took about 15 minutes to come out after a fairly long meal. It took a while to get the check and when it came back, there was no pen to sign with, adding to our wait. The prices were fairly high for this type of food, however, the ingredients were high quality and the flavors were fairly good. Follow-up: I was on the bubble, but I have just changed my rating from 3 stars to 2 based on the adversarial comments I just received from the owner. Apparently, because he has had a few people comment that they like the candles and that the server was the one that did their Facebook page and website, he accepts no accountability and prefers to ignore my feedback. He did say he would have the tables cleared faster to his credit, but I find it odd that he asked for feedback on his Facebook page and then responded in this manner. I was trying to help a new business succeed, but apparently, they have no plans to respond to customer feedback. Sometimes egos are just too large to overcome I guess. Also, they have removed my review from their website and Yelp.

I've never had Thai before so this review is in regards to my organic experience. I chose to order from here because I was in the mood for "Chinese" only West Chester has horrible Chinese restaurants that deliver. From here I ordered: thai iced tea, pork gyoza, chicken lettuce wraps, veggie spring rolls, and pad see ew. The flavors are Awesome! I had mild dishes that allowed to add sauce for heat but I like heat regardless. I am so impressed with this place and the care in packaging my food. the chicken pad see ew had tender noodles with a little bite to them, the veggies were crisp, and the chicken was just done. the chicken lettuce wraps came in 2 boxes. one had the lettuce and hot sauce. the other had the chicken, it was well cooked and crispy (not tender chicken bits), over rice noodles. I loved dropping the hot sauce on top. the pork gyozas were delish! and the veggie spring rolls were not oily, very crispy, and the sauce had a tiny kick. they gave me free edamame! and finally, the thai iced tea - to be honest had no clue what that meant and was surprised it was orange - but I'm addicted. I googled it and saw that thai tea is orange, and they use cream and or condensed milk for the creaminess. love it. if you are in the mood for "Chinese" this will hit that taste palate responsible for your craving...but the food is MUCH better! this is happily my go to for the future. Oh yeah, and I got an order of naan. it's a little thicker but very tasty. ENJOY!!!

THEY CHARGED FOR SIRACHA!!!?? Wtf?!?. Hot sauce is a condiment. Although the pad see eu was good, the rest was ick. For 2 people for lunch it was $28. The hot and sour soup was made spicy with black pepper." the house salad" was slopped in a raspberry sauce and blue cheese. The fresh roll was cut in 3rds like sushi, so the contents (which was mostly iceberg lettuce and little else) fell out, an the hoisin dipping sauce was watered down, literally... avoid like th plague!

Tried this BYO for the first time, and it was delicious! We ordered the shumai, chicken pad thai and panang curry. I would recommend those three dishes to anyone! For the Panang curry, I had a spice level of 2, and although I am not a spicy food person, I thought I could have tried a 3, so if you like spice, there's your gauge... I highly recommend the shumai - the scallions on top were a nice addition and the sauce was amazing. Looking forward to going back or getting take out already!

This place is a gem and its the real deal. Papaya salad (Thai salad) is genuine and prepared like it should be - papaya not cabbage. Food is excellent - Bangkok shrimp was incredible - and the owner is a sweetheart! It's tucked away just outside of the main restaurant scene, but its absolutely worth the addl 10 min to get there. Plenty of parking too which is a major plus in WC!

Excellent Thai food. The curry is excellent, all of them, and that keeps me coming back. I have also been pleased with the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Pad See Ew, Tom Yum, Tom Kha, Gyoza, Seaweed Salad and Spring Rolls. There is some room to improve the ambiance and service, however I have noticed that lunch time service is usually better than dinner service.

I love beef pho, but a little inconsistent. My last order the broth was tasty but it had thick pieces of raw onion, no bean sprouts, maybe four pieces of beef and no limes. I also added my own fish and hoisin sauce.

We love Baan Thai! We've been there twice and are planning to go again tonight with our whole family. Not only has the food been **great**, but they have also been very accommodating with our kids. If you enjoy spicy food, they can really turn up the spice for you, but the rest of the flavors don't get obscured (as happens at other places). Our kids don't like spicy food, and their dishes have been just as enjoyable (for us as we'll as the kids!) it also doesn't hurt that they have ample, easy parking!

We got some take-out for lunch and were very happy with the quality of food we got. Certainly coming back here next time we visit family in West Chester.

I am usually very pick about Asian restaurants , but this place has amazing food! I give it an A++. The service was quick and friendly. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Just tried a extensive take-out order and was impressed. Real Thai food and some Vietnamese dishes as well. Kind of like being the tallest dwarf, but I would say it's currently the best Thai in the WC area.

We are repeat customers so obviously we come back because the food is very good as is the service. Normally we come as a party of five. On this visit we had a reservation for 9. Emphasis on reservation so they knew we we coming. It seemed to completely overwhelm the wait staff and the kitchen staff. It took our waitress three attempts at taking our tables order...we had to keep calling her back because she walked away before completing the tables order. The only saving grace was she was sweet so we just chalked it up to her being a little dippy. We waited close to an hour for our food! The wait staff was not attentive either...when seeing we were waiting quite a while she should have come by with an explanation or some water, something to let us know she knew and cared. The bottom line is this....the food is very good. If you come as a party of 5 or less its fine but think twice about coming as a semi large group. The restaurant if willing to take a larger reservation should have system in place for these situations...and communicate that to the table on their arrival. Maybe it would be bring food out as it comes or suggest some appetizers so they have more time to prepare main dishes. Also there didn't seem to be that waiter who was in charge, that would have helped the situation tremendously unfortunately neither of the two waitresses was very experienced. We will return but will think twice before coming as a larger group. Owner is lovely and food is very good.
